The Mosh Lives Tour hit the dark streets of Detroit, Michigan on March 19, 2014, bringing sounds of some the heaviest acts in the country, including Sworn In, Gideon, Thy Art Is Murder, Volumes, and Emmure.

This was an amazing lineup with some epic bands from the Hardcore/Death Metal community. However, there are two bands on this bill that everyone needs to keep a close eye on; Australia’s Thy Art Is Murder and Emmure from Queens, New York.

Thy Art Is Murder has been making a fast and reputable following in North America since the release of the demo Infinite Death, which features the popular track, Whore to a Chainsaw. Shortly after, they followed the demo with two full length albums; The Adversary and HATE.

This band just keeps turning heads wherever they go, whether it be in their home of Australia, in Europe, or here in America. We want more of Thy Art is Murder!

The Mosh Lives Tour was able to provide Thy Art Is Murder with their third United States tour and will likely not be their last. If they keep bringing the energy like they do to their live performances, they will become, in the words of vocalist C.J. McMahon, “a massive band” in no time at all!  I will dare to say that these guys may be giving some American Deathcore band’s a run for their money. So watch out America; Australia is invading with the power of Thy art Is Murder.

Frankie Palmeri, showed me that night in Detroit, Emmure will stand the test of time. They show the power and force that drives the new album, Nemesis, reminiscent of the sound of Emmure from The Respect Issue. So this is from me to you, Frankie and the guys in Emmure, “Fuck Yeah!”  Thank you for coming back to Detroit and thrashing the Magic Stick.
