This morning, Live Nation proudly announced the return of Billy Joel to Wrigley Field in September 2018.

September 7 will see the legendary Billy Joel perform at Wrigley Field, Chicago. This performance will be a record breaker for Joel as he will be the first ever artist to play at Wrigley Field five consecutive years and also will mark the most anyone has taken to the stage at the Friendly Confines with his seventh overall appearance.

The tickets will go on sale on Monday, January 29 at 10am on cubs.com/BillyJoel. Citi cardmembers will have access to a pre-sale beginning on Wednesday, January 24 at 10am until Sunday, January 28 at 10pm through their Private Pass Program. For details of the pre-sale visit www.citiprivatepass.com.

Billy Joel is one of the biggest performers of all time. In December, 2013 Joel became Madison Square Garden’s first-ever music franchise. This residency has so far equated to 53 sold-out shows.

Many of the Piano Man’s 2018 shows are already sold out. The six-time GRAMMY award winner and inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, keeps the hits coming having sold 150 million records.

Since Wrigley Field first hosted music concerts, they have continued to be a big draw to huge stars. 2005 saw Jimmy Buffet perform the first show there, with big names such as Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, Pearl Jam and Lady Gaga also joining the ranks over the years.
