The hotly anticipated return of Tyketto is finally upon us, with an imminent UK tour a matter of days away.
Tyketto’s forthcoming tour was originally planned for late 2016 to tie in with the release of their latest studio album Reach. However, family emergencies within the band meant that those dates were postponed. The band was obviously sad to have to reschedule the dates, but their decision was perfectly understandable and their supportive fanbase, who inundated their social media pages with best wishes and messages of support, was completely behind them.
Subsequently, Tyketto spoke of their thanks to the fans, and the revised dates:
“The outpouring of support from fans, venue owners and agents has also been a source of great comfort to us all. Some things in life transcend business, and everyone in the band has felt the love you’ve been sending. When plans of a rescheduled tour commenced, we figured we would only be able to reconstruct a handful of dates, as we felt the odds of venues having availability were slim to none. Even in the darkest hours, Tyketto’s guardian angels were still looking out for us. It warms our hearts to be able to make this announcement…..The Reach Tour is officially rescheduled for January 2017 and save a handful of venues, we will be hitting most of the same markets as we had planned for in November and December.”
Tyketto’s lineup features original members Danny Vaughn (vocals) and Michael Clayton (drums) who are joined by Ged Rylands (keys), Chris Green (guitar) and Chris Childs (bass). The tour will see the band playing new tracks, as well as material from their 30-year career.
Tyketto’s rescheduled UK dates commence on the 21st January at the O2 Academy 2 in Liverpool and will take the band through to the end of the month.
