Earthside brings a larger than life show, featuring their brand of “cinematic rock” to the venerable Token Lounge, located just outside of Detroit.

Earthside is a four-member team of diverse and eclectic musicians that know how to perform as well as entertain. The Token Lounge of Westland, Michigan was the only Michigan stopover for the band, during their 2016 North American tour supporting Leperous. Fans dug the soiree of melodious, yet grinding riffs and rhythms, as Earthside unleashed a five-song set, highlighting the band’s highly acclaimed, debut release, A Dream In Static (Amazon).

Earthside began their set with a spectacular, cinematic film short followed by their energetic and thought-provoking instrumental “The Closest I’ve Come.” Jamie Earthside (aka Jamie Van Dyck), the resident guitar slinger of Earthside, unleashed the riffs of a skilled theory purist with the tone of a masterful bluesman.

Earthside’s rhythm section, Earthside Griffin (aka Ryan Griffin) on bass, and Ben Earthside (aka Ben Shanbrom) drove the quartet through an energetic mix of changeups, turnarounds, and “did they just do thats?”

Adding the final layer to the Earthside experience is Frank Earthside (aka Frank Sacramone). Frank electrified the concert goers by jumping into the crowd while playing a blazing portable synthesizer solo, bringing the Earthside experience to the fans in real 3D.

Earthside finished their set with the highly acclaimed, musical extravaganza, “Mob Mentality,” featuring Lajon Witherspoon of Sevendust. A large video screen displayed Witherspoon’s digital image, demonstrating what Earthside calls “cinematic rock” in which they connect to their audience through stunning visuals.

The band’s tour stop in Detroit marks the near half-way point of a grueling North American tour schedule for Earthside. With plenty of stops ahead, fans across the US still have time to see these guys. Check the bands website for tour dates and locations.

For those who have not witnessed the phenom known as Earthside, you will find them to be an addictive blend symphonic metal with an entertaining stage show that will engage your senses, emotions, and most of all, your memories.
