Every note is delivered with perfection and the visual aspects, that Pink Floyd are so well known for, are replicated with the highest degree of accuracy.
The current tour, Discovery, which is titled after the recently released Floyd box set of the same name, features music from all 14 Pink Floyd albums. Fans of everything from the Syd Barret years all the way through The Division Bell and Pulse, will be pleased, as nothing is left unsung or un-played here.
Brit Floyd features musical director, Damian Darlington (vocals/guitar), Rob Stringer (keyboards/vocals), Ian Cattell (bass guitar/vocals), Bobby Harrison (guitar/vocals), Ola Bienkowska (backing vocals), Angela Cervantes (backing vocals), Emily Jollands (backing Vocals), and Jacquie Williams (backing vocals). In addition to the musicians, Brit Floyd, also showcases the talents of Gareth Darlington (front of the house engineer/sound designer) and Brian Kolupski (media director-animation and video).
The current Discovery tour kicked off on March 6, 2014 in Johnstown, PA and runs through June 22, 2014 in Madison, Wisconsin. If your city isn’t one listed though, don’t despair, as their official website states new tour dates are being added all the time.
Outside of North America, you can catch the band starting in October 2014 with multiple stops in Finland, Norway, Denmark, and France.
The performance this past Tuesday in Detroit was fantastic and the photos shot by National Rock Review photographer, Chris Betea, captures the magic in all its psychedelic beauty.
