Michigan Nu-Metal pioneers Taproot reunite for Dirt Fest 2015.

Hitting the stage for the first time in two years, Michigan’s own Taproot will perform alongside Down and Pop Evil at this year’s installment of Dirt Fest, Michigan’s largest and longest-running hard rock and metal music festival. Fans can expect a set full of their favorites spanning the course of Taproot’s 15+ year career. Having sold over 1.5 million records worldwide, Taproot helped pioneer the “Nu-Metal” sound and has toured worldwide with bands such as Slipknot, Linkin Park, and Deftones as well as Ozzfest 2001.

Celebrating its 18th year, Dirt Fest is presented by Matt Dalton and Andy Dalton of Dalton Brothers Entertainment, hosted by Flint’s Rock Radio Banana 101.5 FM, and is held at the Birch Run Expo Center in Birch Run, Michigan.

Dirt Fest is an all-day, all-ages music festival the Daltons have developed from humble beginnings, and in partnership with Banana 101.5, has grown its reputation as a must-attend event every year for fans of hard rock and metal music. Dirt Fest has strived to put Michigan bands in the spotlight with performances this year from Pop Evil and King 810, and past showcases from Battlecross, Chiodos, I See Stars, and Wilson. National headlining bands such as Killswitch Engage, All That Remains, Powerman 5000, Trapt, Sevendust, In This Moment, and Clutch have also graced the stage while The Dalton Brothers continue to make an effort to feed the pot with developing acts.

In addition to General Admission and VIP Ticket Packages, Dirt Fest will offer Meet & Greet opportunities and have several media outlets broadcasting live coverage from the show and interviews with the bands.
