Swedish Viking Metallers, Amon Amarth, close the curtain on the Deceiver of the Gods era and enter into the studio to record the follow up this year.

Amon Amarth is currently on tour across Europe in support of Deceiver of the Gods with their metal allies Huntress and Savage Messiah. Whilst on tour Amon’s lead singer Johan Hegg blew out his voice resulting in a unique instrumental set by the band, accompanied by the one and only Jill Janus of Huntress on “Guardians of Asgaard.” This may be the last we see of the band for a while before they go off the grid to concentrate on writing/recording the follow up to Deceiver of the Gods.

We recently caught up with the band’s drummer, Frederik Andersson, to talk about their current European tour, the recording of Deceiver of the Gods, and their plans for 2015.
