Southern country fried rock and roll can come from the strangest places, like Canada. We talk to Monster Truck guitarist, Jeremy Widerman, about it dontyaknow.
Members of the Hamilton, Ontario band, Monster Truck, include Jon Harvey (vocals/bass), Jeremy Widerman (guitar), Brandon Bliss (keyboards) and Steve Kiely (drummer). They have a highly awaited new album coming out, Sittin’ Heavy, on Dine Alone Records Feb 19, 2016. The guys from up north are currently touring in support of the new album and will be in force during the Loudest Month in Music by hitting the Carolina Rebellion on May 07, 2016 and Rock on The Range May 20, 2016.
We made an international call to a surprised Jeremy who was a true professional and knocked out the interview like a champ. We talked about Monster Truck’s influences, the recent passing of some of music’s greats, and a few other topics that you’ll have to listen for yourself to find out. But, remember kids, “Don’t Fuck With the Truck.”
