Refused returned to tour the country in support of their new album Freedom.
Refused electrified and demolished the crowd with hit after hit at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. In preparation for their fourth upcoming album Freedom on June 30th, Refused is on tour again after their successful reunion tour in 2012. Opening up with their new hit single “Elektra,” the crowd swooned towards stage and sang along with the lead singer Dennis Lxyzen. With fans fisting in the air and lots of stages diving, it all felt like the 90’s again as Refused brought their eclectic mix of hardcore punk as if they didn’t miss a beat.
“San Francisco, no bullshit, it’s because of you we got back together again.” exclaimed Dennis. The crowd ate it up as Refused played other popular jams like “Rather Be Dead,” “Coup D’etat,” “Liberation Frequency,” and “New Noise” leaving the crowd in a mess of sweat and bruises.
Opening up for Refused were Bay Area favorites Wax Idols and Vancouver punk rock locals White Lung.
