The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival brought the heat to Auburn, Washington as the tour continues in the Pacific Northwest.
The White River Amphitheater was the site for the Washington state stop of the Mayhem Festival. This year’s line up brought a mixture of hard-hitting, stand the test of time bands like Slayer, who headlined the event, and King Diamond, who supported Slayer on the main stage.
Also on the main stage were HELLYEAH, and The Devil Wears Prada. The main stage rocked  the festival with the heat of a thousand suns, literally! By the end of the show, Slayer added to the heat with their stunning pyrotechnics. The crowd was not as large this year, however every fan that showed up came to rock!
Witchburn, winners of the Coldcockband competition, ignited the spark that kicked off the festival. With the heat already climbing to 95 degrees, and fans standing on asphalt, sunburn, sweat, music, food, drinks, and fun rounded out the day. Fans clearly did not mind the heat as the crowd grew for the likes of Code Orange,Shattered Sun, Sworn In, Sister Sin, Jungle Rot,Thy Art Is Murder, Whitechapel, Kissing Candice, and Feed Her To The Sharks.
Activities, games, drinks, food, and heavy metal were all on tap throughout the day. Fans moshed, head banged, sang, and even ran through sprinklers that had been hung on fences around the festival grounds. Everyone had a great time. Festival goers left with only one question. Who will be here next year to celebrate 9th year of Mayhem?
