Another great night of local and regional rock was had by all on a hollowed stage, big hair, big guitars, and big fun for all.

When you play at Realm, you need to have a stage presence because it’s a big space to fill. Trying to tame such a beast is Scott Miller (vocals), Parker Harroun (guitar), Johnny Cappelletty (drums), Andy Kunkel (bass), and Jay Shrodek (guitar), the latest lineup for Angola Road. This Toledo-based indie rock band brought out with them two friends in Dead In 5 and Saturnine Hello. Fog machines, an amazing light barrage, and a good ‘ol time made a fun night for those that made it to the show. And, unfortunately so, the young lady with the killer tattoo was nowhere in attendance this night.

The modern/retro rock and roll, punk trio of Robby 9, Mighty Mike, and Jonny Trash started things off for the night as the opening band, Saturnine Hello. This Toledo – Detroit corridor band mixed up original scores with a sneaky Poison cover of “Cat Dragged In” during their set. While they currently don’t have any future shows listed, if you like the wild sound of the 80s hair metal, check these guys out if they play a watering hole near you.

After a short set change, the new veterans to an old scene were up in Dead In 5. Robert Libres (vocals), Brent “X19” Hall (guitar), Dana “Deadly” Forrester (bass), Peder “The Terminator” Seglund (guitar), and James “Shogun” Trunko (drums) make up this gritty band from the Motor City. The Aural Pleasure Music artists made another stop in the Glass City, not only to play but also to finish a new video. Expect a new album from the band shortly. If you’d like to check out their last release, feel free.
