Bruce Springsteen recently named the Gaslight Anthem frontman as his perfect stand-in.

This week Brian Fallon & The Crowes return to the UK and Eire for a tour in support of his debut solo album Painkillers, which was released via Virgin EMI in April this year. The tour follows Fallon’s recent appearances at both Reading and Leeds Festival this summer.

Bruce Springsteen’s admiration for Fallon is well noted, they both hail from New Jersey, and the pair have crossed paths many times including sharing the stage at both Glastonbury Festival and Hard Rock Calling in recent years. The boss recently went on the record during an interview stating Fallon would be his ideal stand in if he could never play a show.

“Having Bruce say if he couldn’t make it to a show that I’d fill in for him, that’s pretty cool”, said Brian. “To have a guy like that, who could pick literally anyone in the world, just to even have my name as the first one that came to his mind, that’s insane.”

You can hear Brian Fallon & The Crowes perform tracks from his debut solo album, along with many of his greatest hits on his forthcoming UK tour. The tour will take Fallon through to the end of the month with a show culminating at the Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth in 27 November (see below for full tour listings and ticket information).
