DeverauX will be hitting the 2014 Dirt Fest stage, we have insight on the latest and greatest from this featured artist.

DeverauX is an American metal band from Lansing, Michigan, formed in 2011 by drummer David Floyd, guitarist Chas Millican and vocalist Phil LaMay. With the addition of bassist JD Younk, the band is known for their rhythms, thrashing riffs, melodic hooks and a powerful message of self perseverance.

One of the hardest working bands in the Michigan area, the play extensively around the area drawing huge crowds at every gig. DeverauX was crowned winner of both the 2012 & 2013 “Q106 Homegrown Throwdown,” riding high on the success of their début E.P. The Last of Us in 2012. They are currently in the production stage for their new full length album set to release later this year.

I first saw this band open up for Psychostick at Uli’s Haus of Rock in Lansing, MI and have been hooked on them since. Their presence on stage is engaging and electric. They’ve shared stages with several national acts including, Puddle of Mudd, Sevendust, Pop Evil, and Otep. They play large festivals in the region and are repeat performers at Dirt Fest. I visited with the band in their practice space to interview them about the upcoming Dirt Fest, their new album and the general music scene in Michigan.
