Openers Maybe Whitney approached the stage with charisma, spirit, and an enormous amount of energy. They prepared the audience for the electrifying evening ahead. Their lineup consists of Sheen (Vocals), Huggy D (Backup Vocals), B-Rand (DJ) and with tracking by Matt Dalton of 37 Studios.
Meridians are a breakout, metalcore band from Fenton, MI. The line-up consists of Alex McClain (Vocals), Austin Stewart (Guitar), Ryan Lain (Guitar), Devin Trull (Bass), and Josh Miller (Drums and Vocals). Alex McClain’s screaming vocals and Meridians flawless, high energy performance, the crowd’s insatiable appetite for more was provoked.
It Lies Within (ILW) is a metalcore band from Flint, MI forming in 2008. Acting as support for The Browning on their 16-stop Respect Strength Loyalty tour, ILW brought their game to The Token Lounge and the audience appreciated every moment. The band consisting of Zachary Scott (Vocals), Erik McKay (Bass and Clean Vocals), Matthew Groshart (Guitar), and Kamron Mead (Drums).
ILW brings serious energy with synchronized spins and head banging, gut-wrenching screams by Zachary Scott, and striking, clean vocals by Erik McKay. ILW, delivers a powerful, positive message in their lyrics including respect, believing in oneself, and being held accountable for one’s own actions. Zachary Scott conveys the significance of these attributes by engaging the audience and allowing them to perform portions of the songs during the set.
The Browning is an electronic metalcore band from Kansas City, MO forming in 2005. The band consists of Jonny McBee (Vocals and Electronics), Collin Woroniak (Guitar), Drew Ellis (Bass), and Cody Stewart (Drums), brought intensity, power, and explosive vigor to the stage. Steering away from the standard metalcore breakdowns, The Browning sound included orchestral instruments, piano lines, funky bass, and futuristic synth, and had the audience alive with excitement. The Browning delivered everything metalcore is meant to be, energetic and passionate with the added precision and crisp execution of electronica.
