Pub 44 kicked off their Summer concert series with heavy hitting band, Saliva.

Hailing from Memphis, TN, Saliva is no stranger to the Central Florida area, having played many biker events in recent years. Saliva, whose members include, founders Wayne Swinny and Dave Novotny, with Paul Crosby and Jonathan Montoya, along with now ‘not-so-new’ singer, Bobby Amaru, who joined the band in 2012.

The venue, Pub 44, having recently ‘beefed up’ the concert experience afforded their customers by bringing in a large outdoor stage with lighting to rival the local rock clubs, and plenty of room for large events. They have been known to bring in some of the larger acts during their Summer concerts as well as bikeweek events.

The band played some the biggest hits in their musical repertoire including “Ladies and Gentlemen”, kicking the night off, “Always,” and “Click Click Boom.” They also surprised the crowd with a few covers of ‘ACDC’s’ “TNT,” ‘Alice in Chains’ “Nutshell,” and “Something in the Way” by ‘Nirvana,’ which turned out to be a big crowd pleaser.

If this is a taste of what is to come this year, it should prove to be successful and we had photographer, Karen Romano Adams on hand to capture the show.
