The local party rocker paid a visit to his own stomping grounds as partied the night away in the Motor City with the crowd at the iconic St. Andrew’s Hall.

Michigan’s own Andrew W.K. played a solo show at St. Andrew’s Hall in Detroit, as part of the annual Metro Times Blowout. The party rocker and motivational speaker brought a frenetic energy to the stage, and the crowd fed off of it. From the moment Andrew W.K. took the stage with his anthem It’s Time to Party, to the moment he left, the party mood and atmosphere never waned.

Our photographer, Josh Kahl, was on hand to capture the party.
