Agnostic Front left many hardcore fans a “Victim In Pain” by the end of the night at a spirited show in Providence.
The Godfathers of New York Hard Core, Agnostic Front is celebrating the 30th anniversary of their first full length “Victim In Pain”, released in 1984. The latest lineup for Agnostic Front includes: vocalist Roger Miret, bassist Mike Gallo, drummer Pokey Mo, and guitarists Vinnie Stigma and Craig Silverman. Agnostic Front recently finished recording in the studio and are currently awaiting their upcoming release, “The American Dream Died”, expected to be available in April 2015.
Hardcore band The Struggle from Rhode Island formed in the Summer of 2014 by singer Adam Hug, bassist Josh Hurst, guitarists Josh Barone and Bill Jolliemore, and drummer Bryan Munroe. The band is currently working on their first EP that should be ready for Spring 2015. Their set included: “Intro,” “Issues,” “As One,” “Dance Hard Or Die,” “Drug Free Youth,†“In The Mirror,†“Crazy But Not Insane,†“Not My Way,” “We’re The Crew,†and “My Life.”
Barfight Champs (BFC) is a Punk, Oi, and Hardcore band from Boston formed by singer Frankie Chairs, guitarists Mikey Healey and Nick Mclean, bassist Matt Poulos, and drummer Dan Loftus. The self proclaimed band interests of BFC are: booze, drugs, fighting, hot ham, and vagina. BFC are currently working on their first release, “Old School Mentality”, which is expected to be out by March 2015. Barfight Champs set included: “Told You So,†“GLC Anthem,†“Working Class Poor,†“Old School Mentality,†“Ode To A Skinhead”, and “Barfight Champs.â€
Hailing from Rhode Island, Reason To Fight (RTF) ia a Hardcore band formed in 2001. The lineup for RTF featured vocalist Brian “Fuzzy” Harrington, bassist Greg C, drummer Bobby Forand, and guitarists Dave Borges and Kevin Whitman. Their set included: “Intro”, “Farewell”, “Blood & Glory”, “No Spiritual Surrender”, “Godhead”, “Dedicated To Nothing”, and “Revenge”. The crowd was getting worked up with a pit full of spinning kicks, crab crawls, and a mosh pit that brought the dance floor from wall to wall. RTF finished their set with: “These Demons”, “Side By Side”, “Be Strong”, “For These”, “Welcome To America”, “Young Til I Die”, and “Forever Loyal”.
Agnostic Front closed out the night leaving the crowd beaten, bruised, and smiling for more with an old school hard core set that consisted of: “United Blood”, “Discriminate”, “Friend Or Foe”, “Victim”, “Public Assistance”, “New Jack”, “Eliminator”, “Toxic Shock”, “United Strong”, “Power”, “Blind Justice”, “Peace”, “Crucified”, “Gotta Go”, “Addiction”, and “With Time”.
