GHTV has premiered the track during a special five-day Guitar Hero Live Shred-a-thon event running now through Monday, February 08.
For Guitar Hero fans, “Through The Fire And Flames” will evoke great memories. The track by the British power metal is considered to be one of the most challenging tracks in the game. “Through The Fire And Flames” was first included in Guitar Hero for game console units in 2007 on Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. The song was also featured on Guitar Hero Smash Hits (2009).
On February 03, 2016, “Through The Fire And Flames” returned to Guitar Hero fans on Guitar Hero Live. To mark the event, GHTV is hosting a special event to give gamers will be able to play and compete to win prizes during the Guitar Hero Live Shred-a-Thon event open now on a new channel in GHTV. The event concludes on Monday, February 08 at 7:00 AM PT.
In addition to the Dragonforce track, the event soundtrack will include player favorites, “Cry of Achilles” by Alter Bridge, “Hangar 18” by Megadeth, “Ghost Walking” by Lamb of God, and “Strife” by Trivium. The point of this soundtrack is to stir feelings of nostalgia associated with the early days of the Guitar Hero game franchise.
“The Guitar Hero community is the lifeblood of the game, so we knew we had to do something huge to bring back one of the most beloved songs of all time,” said Jamie Jackson, Creative Director and Co-Head of FreeStyleGames. “Everyone at the studio has fond memories with ‘Through the Fire and Flames,’ so we decided to take it up a notch and combine it with the toughest songs in the game hand-picked by us to create the ultimate challenge: a five-day shredder marathon. It’s time to crank it up to expert difficulty and show us what you got!”
Guitar Hero Live is available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U console as well as Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
