Public Image LTD will make an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Public Image LTD, also known as PiL, is fixing to perform their first debut single, “Double Trouble,” from their recently released tenth studio album, What the World Needs Now, Tuesday, November 17, 2015 on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
On top of Public Image LTD’s performance on television this upcoming week, they also released two new singles, “Bettie Page” (in the U.S.) and “The One” (in the U.K), on limited edition vinyl’s. The vinyl incorporates the Bettie Page artwork (U.S. edition). All the cover artwork for their singles were created by PiL lead singer, John Lydon.
PiL is a post-punk, alternative group that begun in the 70’s. After a substantial hiatus, the group rekindled themselves and are currently back together. PiL consists of frontman John Lydon, best known as the lead singer of the Sex Pistols, guitarist Keith Levene, bassist Jah Wobble, and drummer Jim Walker.
