September Mourning is a transmedia project created by musician Emily Lazar and comic book legend Marc Silvestri. Through comic books (published via Top Cow/Image Comics) and musical art, September Mourning tells the tale of September, a human/reaper hybrid with no memory of her past. Empowered with supernatural gifts, she is driven to protect humanity from Fate and his Reapers. The musical accompaniment to this story is a full length album, Volume II, released via Sumerian Records. On stage, Lazar personifies the character of September, accompanied by her band of Reapers.

“With Volume II, September Mourning created a felicitous piece of art…Impressive songs dressed in a melancholic atmosphere along with clear and powerful production,” wrote CrypticRock.com.
Dark Art Conspiracy Magazine called Volume II a “truly an epic and inspiring masterpiece.”

New music and The Complete Collection, a full graphic novel containing all four chapters of September’s story, will be available this year.
