NERO DI MARTE TO RELEASE 7-INCH SPLIT WITH VOID OF SLEEP Bands raising funds to replace stolen gear and equipment

Italian atmospheric unit NERO DI MARTE will be releasing a split 7″ EP with Void of Sleep after both bands’ gear and equipment were stolen before a recent show in Rome. The band stated: “In less than 30 minutes, someone broke into our van and was able to take everything. It happened in broad daylight near a police station in Rome, despite there being a massive amount of police forces surveilling the area but, alas, no security cameras. Guitars, amps, pedal boards, drums, merchandise and personal belongings… a total of 25,000€ was stolen from both bands.”

The EP will consist of a new track from each group, which will be recorded at Studio 73 in Ravenna, Italy. The bands have set up a fundraiser through Indiegogo containing packages including signed merchandise, Skype lessons and even the opportunity for your own private show HERE:

NERO DI MARTE released their self-titled debut last spring. The album, available HERE, received high ratings from the press, including a 4/5 star review from Revolver (which described the band as “a gifted and talented love child of Leviathan-era Mastodon and latter-day Death”). Having previously performed in Europe alongside acts including Godflesh, Carcass, Immolation, Cynic, Decapitated, Red Fang and Svart Crown, the band recently completed first-ever North American tour alongside Gorguts and Origin.
