Tiger Sex brought their Punk Rock show to Louisville benefit event with Cougar Ace, Clowder and Chris Rubino.

Tiger Sex completely dominated the Third Street Dive with their high energy punk rock show. Those in attendance who didn’t exactly know what to expect when Tiger Sex started the evening  with their furious single “Prostitution” changed their mind quickly by the time Tiger Sex rolled into their second song “California.” During the set, Tiger Sex preformed a cover of the blues classic “Walk the Dog” in a punk rock style for the very first time. Included in the powerful set was an Iggy Pop and the Stooges Cover of “TV Eye” that really showcased their raw energy before ending their main set with “Tiger Walk.” Closing out the evening with two additional songs, Tiger Sex performed a classic cover of “Cherry Bomb” by the Runaways and ended their set with “Sugar High Rebel.” With Tiger Sex, you get a highly suggestive, raw, over the top punk show, something that needs to be experienced in person.

The evening at Third Street Dive was their Fifth Annual Feline Frenzy, an event to benefit Alley Cat Advocates (ACA) of Louisville. It is fantastic to see the local community working with local groups like ACA to raise funds for this worthy cause.

Cougar Ace, straight laced Rock ‘n Roll band from Covington Kentucky finished up the evening in fine fashion. Cougar Ace is the only group to perform at all previous five ACA benefits at Third Street Dive. Cougar Ace contains guitarist Joel Caithamer and drummer Shawn Fry.

Clowder (Formerly, Vested) took the stage second to a friendly audience of family and friends. Clowder’s thirty-minute set included covers of “Cinnamon Girl” and “Suzie Q.”

Singer/Songwriter Chris Rubino from Louisville opened the evening with a set of self-proclaimed twang pop.
