SCALE THE SUMMIT KICKS OFF FIRST TOUR OF 2014 Co-headlining run with The Ocean to see band incorporate video production for the first time

Tonight, instrumental progressive ‘adventure metal’ unit, SCALE THE SUMMIT, kicks off their first tour of 2014; a co-headlining jaunt with The Ocean featuring support from The Atlas Moth and Silver Snakes. The run will include stops at South By Southwest and South By So What?! in the band’s home state of Texas before concluding on March 30. Soon after they will embark on the ‘Cruise to the Edge’ alongside Yes, Marillion, Queensryche, and many more. VIP tickets including a tour-exclusive t-shirt, a souvenir VIP laminate, and a custom guitar pick and are currently on sale here:

This marks the first tour that will see SCALE THE SUMMIT incorporate video production into their concerts. A teaser can be seen in the video below.

SCALE THE SUMMIT’s latest album, the critically acclaimed, Billboard-charting release ‘The Migration’, was hailed as “post-rock at its most melodic and dynamic best” by Alternative Press. The third vinyl pressing of the album is currently available on either green or white vinyl and includes a poster featuring expanded artwork by cover artist Duncan Storr.

Additionally, bassist Mark Michell, has released an instructional book, ‘Sightreading 101 For Bass: Reading Standard Notation, Vol. 1’, which focuses on the basics of learning to interpret, read, and sightread standard notation.
