The Twistin’ Tarantulas have been rocking the world for over twenty years now. Founding member, bassist and frontman Pistol Pete spoke with us about the band recently.

The Twistin’ Tarantulas were founded by “Pistol” Pete Midtgard two decades ago in a Detroit neighborhood its known as “Ghetto Heights.” The band has created success on their own terms with no help from the music industry. With three albums of original material under their belt and tours around the world, this band truly defines the term independent. One might call them rockabilly, others might call them punk, but their sound is truly all their own.

The band is playing a series of dates this weekend and December before they return to the studio to record their next album. Pistol Pete spoke with Mick McDonald about the band and the legacy they have created for themselves with a fan-base around the world.
