Matt Schofield released his critically acclaimed fifth studio album, Far As I Can See, a superb collection of modern blues.

Far as I Can See also pays homage to some of Matt Schofield’s heroes in the form of his incredible covers of “Breaking Up Somebody’s Home” by Albert King and “Yellow Moon” by the Neville Brothers.

Since taking to the road with the legendary Joe Satriani last year, Schofield has been touring the US for the better part of this year. The multi-award winning guitarist and singer/songwriter is about to return to the UK to embark upon a 15-date tour, his largest headline tour to date. Special guests, The Ben Poole Band, will be opening for Matt throughout the tour and National Rock Review will be in attendance at Schofield’s show at the Stockton Arc on November 15 to bring you all of the action from the road.

Writer/photographer, Adam Kennedy, spoke with the British Blues Hall of Famer about the upcoming UK tour, his latest album, his setup, how he started out as well as some of his influences.
