A little bit of advice for aspiring bands out there; touring in Texas in August is not a great idea when you sweat Jack Daniels. For the details, we talk to Saving Abel guitarist, Scott Bartlett.
Yes, Saving Abel switched up on the vocal duties. But for, Jason Null (guitar), Scotty Austin (vocals), Scott Bartlett (guitar), Eric Taylor (bass), and Steven Pulley (drums), change is easy. The boys are currently out on the road with friends Trapt, Saliva, and Alien Ant Farm among others on the Make America Rock Again Tour.
We managed to catch Scott before an engagement in the great Lone Star state after clearing the sleep from his head to talk about how goddamn hot Texas is in August; no one should have to sweat out their Jack Daniel’s from the night before. He also talked about how the new lineup was working out and, of course, spent a few minutes on his brand of clothing with a very personal twist on things.
For all of the other juiciness, you’ll have to turn a fan on and straddle up to the audio and listen for yourself. But we, at the National Rock Review Division of Rodeo Clown Affairs, promise that the next few minutes will be worth it for the diehard fans of Saving Abel that have always wanted to talk to one of the guys one on one.
It’s all about finding that balance between enjoying your fans, family and friends and having a business that allows you to play music for a living, if we can go fishing and have meals with our fans and it helps us be able to stay on the road, we’re all for that, hopefully we can do this forever.†~Eric Taylor
