Downtown Brown will host “The Blood Orgy” event on Halloween 2014 to celebrate a decade since the release of their 2004 Self-Titled album.
Formed in 2001 by vocalist/guitarist Neil Patterson, aka Neebo, Downtown Brown (DTB) has seen their fair share of success, failure, fame and fortune over the past thirteen years. They’ve had the honor of sharing the stage with notable acts such as The Presidents of the U.S.A, Fishbone, and even Insane Clown Posse. In their early years, they toured relentlessly across the United States and even gained a spot on the Vans Warped Tour via personal invitation of tour founder Kevin Lyman, albeit short-lived due to some hijinks from certain band members. Undeterred by their setbacks and fueled by their rabid supportive fan-base, they trudged on. Various members have come and gone over the years, but the underlying vibe and core of the band always remained intact.
Wrapping up what has been a whirlwind year for DTB, the band will reunite with original bassist Wolf (The Infatuations, Tantric, Kenny Olson) to perform a throwback set on Halloween Night at the Magic Stick. DTB has already clocked over 100 shows on the road since the release of their 6th studio album, Masterz of the Universe, in November of 2013. The album was produced in L.A. by Fishbone founding member John ‘Norwood’ Fisher. 2014 saw the band touring as support for a slew of notable acts including Dead Kennedys, The Adidas, Insane Clown Posse, Fishbone, Peelander-Z, Blowing, Dog Fashion Disco, and Mike Dillon (Primus).
The Halloween show at the Magic Stick, dubbed The Blood Orgy, is a costume-themed event which will feature performances by CBJ, Poison Panda, a reunion of Detroit punk legends The Jollys, and will be hosted by Zak & What Army?. Prize for Least Sexy Costume will be awarded.

Neebo spoke with Mick McDonald over the phone to discuss this show, tales from the road, their future, along with some insights of life lessons learned along the way in a music career that certainly shows no signs of ending anytime soon.
After Halloween, DTB will head back on the road for three weeks in support of the popular metal/comedy band, Psychostick.
