WRIF Radio brought home the goods with RIFF FEST 2017 at DTE Music Theater in what we all hope will become an annual new music festival.

Whether it be a hangover, muscle aches, or post-festival blues, we cetainly all want to continue to reminisce in the memories of RIFF FEST. Sponsored by local radio station WRIF, the event featured a number of national and local acts spread across two stages.

The show opened with the Monster Energy Stage set-up in the parking lot for all the tailgaters to enjoy and featured the sounds of Fozzy, Radkey, and an incredible performance by New Years Day.

Moving into the pavilion, local favorites Frankenmuth’s Greta Van Fleet and Northern Muskegon’s Pop Evil performed stellar sets. Mother nature joined in the fun offering up unusually high temperatures reaching well into the 80s and not a spec of rain.

From all the signings, up close and personal moments, and meet and greets, the fans got to mingle with their musical heroes. Whether your favorite moment was watching Five Finger Death Punch perform, or to get to hear the sultry and sucker-punching sounds of Halestorm, the festival was the hardest rocking party of the summer at DTE or any other local venue for that matter.
