The longest running touring music festival in the United States landed in Nashville with bands covering everything from hip hop, punk, alternative, metal, and more.
On July 29, 2014, Vans Warped Tour made their way through Nashville, TN. It has been many years since Warped Tour has played in Nashville, so many people were very eager to attend and rock the day away. At the show, you could definitely see that Nashville holds more than just country music fans.
Nearly 70 bands played from one of the eight stages during this perfect weather day. Even a couple of Nashville’s local bands were able to play their set on the Ernie Ball Stage. We are the Finale and Mindset Defect both rocked the stage and were noticed by hundreds of people.
A couple of notable events that occurred was a guy getting his head shaved by the guys in Less than Jake and Breathe Carolina crowd surfing in blown up boats. Breathe Carolina also had a few massive blown-up balls being bounced around throughout the packed crowd.
Today’s show held thousands of die-hard rock fans. Nashville doesn’t get very many big rock shows, so we can only hope that Vans Warped Tour will return again in the following years.
Our photographer, Jennifer Pinckney, was on hand to cover the event.
