The Cult proved they’ve still got it in front of an almost sold-out House of Blues in Chicago.

The last time The Cult were in Chicago was at Concord Music Hall in 2014. This time, they moved the party to the House of Blues and packed the Music Hall till it was almost bursting at the seams. They may have been late in taking to the stage, but the fans didn’t seem to care. They were having a great time and were excited for the fun ahead. There were clearly a lot of long term fans out to support the band judging by the number of veteran fans donning old tour shirts.

The crowd erupted when they finally came on the stage performing “Dark Energy” from their new album, Hidden City. They played an excellent combination of both old and new songs, as you would expect, with all being greatly received. Fan favorites seemed to be “Fire Woman” and, of course, “She Sells Sanctuary” which brought the house down.

The Cult continue their tour throughout North America until the end of April. Be sure to catch the British rock icons when they roll into your town.
