Sublime with Rome and special guests Rebelution, Pepper, and Mickey Avalon play to a packed house in the Heart of America.

Sublime was formed in 1988 in Long Beach, California by founding members Bradley Nowell (vocals/guitar), Eric Wilson (bass), and Bud Gaugh (drums). Lou Dog, Nowell’s dalmatian, serves as their mascot. The band released two studio albums before losing Bradley in 1996 to a heroin overdose.

In 2009 Sublime reformed with new frontman Rome Ramirez. Then, in 2011, Bud Gaugh was replaced by Josh Freese, giving us the lineup we see today.

Sublime with Rome arrived at the KC Live Block to support their latest studio release Sirens, which contains the hit single “Wherever you go.”

Joining them on this tour was:

Rebelution from Santa Barbara, California. Members are Eric Rachmany (vocals/guitar), Rory Carey (keyboards), Wesley Finley (drums), and Marley Williams (bass).

Pepper from Kailua-Kona, HI. Members are Kaleo Wasman (guitar/vocals), Bret Bollinger (bass/ vocals), and Yesod Willams (drums/ vocals)

Mickey Avalon from Hollywood, California.

The night was full of classic hits and good times. National Rock Review photographer Frankie Kuhl was on the scene to capture the show.
