Pop Evil made a stop in Boise to deliver a high-energy dose of hard rock to an eager crowd.
Boise locals, Gypsy Saints, opened the night with a short but entertaining set. Next up was First Decree from Cheyenne, Wyoming. The up and comers delivered a solid set of radio-friendly rock.
Red Sun Rising took the stage next. The Ohio quintet captivated the audience from the first few notes of their opening song “Push.†They continued through five more songs, keeping the energy high and the audience intrigued. The band will release their debut album, Polyester Zeal, on August 7.
The somewhat small but highly enthusiastic Sunday night crowd finally got what they were waiting for when Pop Evil took the stage. The Michigan natives rocked through a string of hit songs, including “Last Man Standing,†“Boss’s Daughter,†“Torn To Pieces,†and “Hero.†The set also included two new songs, “Footstepsâ€, which is already a radio hit, and “In Disarray.†The band closed the night with fan favorites “Deal With The Devil†and “Trenches.â€
Pop Evil is currently touring to promote the release of their fifth studio album, Up, on August 21.
