New York band makes debut trip to Basement Transmissions and kicks the night off right.

23-June-2016: One Day Waiting stopped at Basement Transmissions on their short tour. While the Hudson Valley boys are active in the New York music scene, they’re working to expand their fanbase — hence this trip to Western Pennsylvania.

One Day Waiting began their set as an opener, but fans outside rushed into the venue to hear their original alternative metal music. The Erie crowd welcomed the band with mosh pits and cheering.

Vocalist Tyler Kray nailed his vocals while Nick Cozzolino and John Zambito played their music with such passion, making the riffs and beats look easy.

More people started to work their way through the doors as the openers continued getting the crowd ready for the rest of the bands.

Things got crazy during the last two songs of the set. Kray announced he wanted everyone moving for the next song, and Cozzolino began to play “Bodies” by Drowning Pool — a song every metalhead knows and loves. The pit grew to the point it seemed like the whole crowd was in the mix.

The band had time for one last song — a single off their newest EP “Mouthbreath” set to release June 28 — called “Dying For The Truth.” The crowd continued to mosh as Kray shouted, “Show me what you got, Erie!”
