The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival goes international with a stop in Toronto, Ontario on July 15, 2015.
The 2015 edition of the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival made it’s only international stop in Toronto, Ontario this past Wednesday. The weather gods were cooperating on this day, and a hot, cloudless day welcomed thousands of festival goers in the early afternoon. There appeared to be a wide range of ages amongst the fans, as seemingly the older crowd were on hand for headliners Slayer, King Diamond, and Hellyeah on the main stage. The younger crowd had their own future headliners to cheer on with The Devil Wears Prada rounding out things on the main stage.
The second stage, or Victory Records Stage, also featured a variety of up and coming acts, which served to warm things up for the headliners on the main stage. Coldcock Whisky battle of the bands winner, Second Pass, got things started, followed by Code Orange, Shattered Sun, Sworn In, Jungle Rot, Thy Art Is Murder, Whitechapel, Kissing Candice, and Feed Her To The Sharks. The festival crowds were engaged throughout the day, showing their love for heavy metal and Mayhem Festival, with mosh pits, circle pits, and crowd surfing galore.
National Rock Review photographer Mark Skinner was on hand to capture some of the action.
