Lita Ford delivers a fantastic set of classic rock n’ roll to a room full of enthusiastic Louisville fans along with The Easthills.

Legendary Rocker Lita Ford took Louisville’s Mercury Ballroom Stage by storm on Friday evening. Decked out in black leather studded pants, a leather studded vest, and wielding her yellow BC Rich guitar with her name inlaid in the guitar neck, Lita walked onto the stage to a room full of cheers. Wasting no time, Lita and the guys launched into “Gotta Let Go” and “Larger Than Life,” giving the fans what they wanted. Lita was all smiles as she took a moment to introduce the next song, a ripping cover of Elton John’s “The Bitch is Back” and the night was off to a roaring start.

Back at the mic, Lita explained that they love all of the touring, having done 100 shows this year. It has been a great year for the band as they will be on tour all the way thru the end of December. “Music is the ultimate gift that gets you thru the worst of times in life,” Ford explained before they rolled into “Relentless,” “Hungry,” and “Playing With Fire” showcasing her serious riff skills.

Lita seemed to be in a talkative and fun-loving mood tonite as she toasted New Year’s Eve a little early with the room wishing everyone “Health, prosperity, and good fucking rock n’ roll,” before catapulting into a song she wrote with Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx, “Falling In and Outta Love.” They followed with “Back to the Cave.”

After another toast with the room, Lita told the “Nelson Story.” It seems Lita was looking for a drummer a few years back; Gunnar Nelson recommended Bobby Rock to which Lita asked if she needed to audition him to which Gunnar replied, “NO WAY, he is Bobby Rock! Bobby has been with them ever since. Without any hesitation Bobby then takes us into “Can’t Catch Me” a song co-written by Lita and Lemmy Kilmister featuring a blazing and punishing drum solo ending with another great ovation.

Lita wrapped up her main set with a hard driving “Out for Blood,” an epic performance of the Runaways anthem, “Cherry Bomb,” and a Sex Pistols cover of “Black Leather” that had the room buzzing.

With a custom double-neck guitar around her neck, Lita ended the evening with a fiery rendition of “Close My Eyes Forever” featuring guitarist Patrick Kennison on vocals. Lita Ford closed the evening with a scintillating performance of “Kiss Me Deadly” drawing one final and well-deserved ovation and capping off a fantastic evening.

Look for Lita Ford in 2017 as they will have a new album out and another extensive tour scheduled.

Lita Ford’s band includes guitarist and vocalist Patrick Kinnison, drummer Bobby Rock, and bassist Marty O’Brien.

Indiana-based rockers, The Easthills started us off in a great way this evening. Touring in support of their 2016 release, Fear and Temptation, their 45-minute set showcased their signature big harmonies and big guitar sound. Their setlist included “Remember The Kids,” “Face It,” and “Broken Indian Anthem” from their Death of a Salesman album.

The Easthills are Hank Campbell (vocals/guitar), Will Barada (vocals/guitar), Brad Morgan (bass), Wade Parish (drums), and Banner Morgan (lead guitar).
