Hide the women and children.
A rollicking good time was had by all and I would be very surprised if there was a pint of ale remaining in The Token Lounge as Metal Blade Records recording artists and Los Angeles based boogie rockers Gypsyhawk along with Norwegian Balkan metal pioneers Trollfest and Scottish Bacon Powered Pirate Core rockers Alestorm pillaged and plundered through Westland this past Saturday night.
Detroit knows and loves Gypsyhawk and they did not disappoint performing a highly energized 30 minute set ripping through tracks from their previous releases “Patience and Perseverence” and “Revelry & Resilience” which got the packed house good and ready for the Europeans. The crowd reacted enthusiastically and was left wanting more.
Luckily, National Rock Review had a chance to sit and chat with Gypsyhawk before the show as the band took a few moments to discuss the current tour, their latest release Revelry & Resiliance the making of their videos for hits such as “Hedgeking”, “State Lines” and “Silver Queen” as well as upcoming plans for 2014.
