Irish superstar Hozier made a stop at the Royal Oak Music Theater in Detroit on his current U.S. tour.

Soulful and bluesy Hozier dazzled the sold-out Royal Oak Music theater with a memorable live performance. Fresh off his appearance on the Grammy Awards, Hozier brought his emotional and spiritual music to life and did not disappoint anyone present in the audience. From the moment he opened his set, the crowd sang along, word for word, with every song.

In and of itself, this would have been a highly memorable show, but something no one expected happened at the end. As Hozier wrapped up his set, a lucky woman named Carrie was in for a moment she would never forget. Hozier helped her boyfriend Robert propose to her in front of the packed house. For the record, she said “yes.” We here at National Rock Review congratulate the couple and wish them years of happiness, thanks to Hozier.

The evening’s setlist was: Angel of Small Death, From Eden, Jackie and Wilson, Someone New, To Be Alone, It Will Come Back, In a Week, llinois Blues, Like Real People Do, Arsonist’s Lullaby, Sedated, Foreigner’s God, Take Me to Church, Cherry Wine, Run, One Thing, Work Song

Our photographer, Josh Kahl, was on hand to capture this truly memorable evening of music.
