Asking Alexandria and Bullet For My Valentine have joined forces for their British Invasion North American tour.
It is not every night that the crowd chants for the opening act to take to the stage, but that is exactly what happened at the House of Blues for Asking Alexandria coming on. The boys from York, England burst on the stage and did not stop for breath once throughout their 45-minute set, leaving the crowd fired up for the headliner.
Fans packed the venue to capacity despite the horrific Chicago weather. They were clearly glad they made the effort to arrive early in time for Asking Alexandria. Given audience reaction, the band will be on a headline tour in the near future.
By the time Bullet For My Valentine took to the stage, the venue was alive with palpable excitement. This tour is in support of their album, Venom, released in August 2015. The album has proven popular, and fans sang to every word as Matt Tuck unleashed the power and passion of his voice.
A firm favorite of the night was “You Want A Battle? (Here’s A War),” which was greeted with cheers throughout the room. Another notable moment was the phenomenal drum solo by Moose Thomas.
Bullet For My Valentine clearly wears their hearts on their sleeves. You can hear the influences of Metallica, Slayer, and fellow Brits Iron Maiden in their music.
The North American Tour runs until early March. Check their schedule for a city near you. If you’ve not been able to catch them this time round, Bullet For My Valentine will be back in May for festival dates this summer.
