The event included exhilarating performances by Rob Zombie, Halestorm, Corey Taylor, and more.
The Alternative Press Music Awards, also known as the AMPAs, were held in the Rock and Roll capital of the world, Cleveland, OH. The catchphrase, “Cleveland Rocks!†held up it’s name on July 22, 2015 when the APMAs came to town and rocked everyone off their seats throughout the evening.
The ceremony included performances by Rob Zombie and Motionless in White, who took us back to Rob’s roots and performed White Zombie’s hit, “Thunder Kiss ‘65.â€Â Corey Taylor and Halestorm joined forces and blew everyone away with a rendition of Temple of the Dog’s “Hunger Strike.â€Â Panic! At the Disco covered Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,†and alternative rock legends, Weezer, closed out the night with “Buddy Holly.â€
A plethora of awards where given out during the night, including the Vanguard Award which was given to the astute, Rob Zombie. Other awards presented were Best Vocalist, Haley Williams of Paramore, Album of the Year went to Black Veil Brides, and the Icon Award was graciously presented to punk rock legends, X.
There was a surprise around every corner and everyone enjoyed the party.
