About SNOT:
From the birth of the Santa Barbara, CA based band in 1995, SNOT was a controversial force in the underground music scene. With a primordial mix of hardcore punk, metal, and funk – members Lynn Strait (vox), Mikey Doling (guitar), Sonny Mayo (guitar), John “Tumor” Fahnestock (bass), and Jamie Miller (drums) wreaked havoc up and down the west coast as they quickly began sharing stages and sold out shows with such bands as System of a Down, Incubus, Korn, Coal Chamber, and many more great up and coming bands of that time.

SNOT was signed by Geffen Records in 1996 and in 1997 released their only full length album, “Get Some.” SNOT toured the US in ’97 and ‘98 with bands such as Deftones, Sevendust, Human Waste Project, Life Of Agony, Fishbone, Machine Head, Soulfly, and Sugar Ray before securing a slot on Ozzfest ’98 where they received incredible praise from metal fans, their musical peers, and law enforcement officers when lead singer, Lynn Strait, was arrested for indecent exposure after popping out of Limp Bizkit’s toilet stage prop completely nude.

Tragically, Lynn Strait was killed in a car accident on 12/11/98. SNOT disbanded and the surviving members went on to play in the bands Soulfly, Sevendust, Amen, LoPro, and Abloom- just to name a few.

In late 2000, “Strait Up”, a tribute album to late Lynn Strait was released on Immortal Records. It featured the music slated to be on the next SNOT album with guest vocals by the likes of Serj Tankian, Jonathan Davis, Lajon Witherspoon, Corey Taylor, Jason Sears Fred Durst, and many more.

In 2008 and 2009, SNOT reformed with vocalist, Tommy Vext (Divine Heresy), to pay tribute to their fallen brother, Lynn. They recorded two new songs and toured the western US with Devildriver and did a national tour with Mudvayne and 10 Years.

In Early 2014, the band got together yet again to play a string of shows in southern California, selling out every night, showing SNOT that the fans are out there waiting to see SNOT live. SNOT is currently planning a 22 date US tour in late 2014 followed by a 25 date UK/European tour in early 2015.
