DRAGGED INTO SUNLIGHT ANNOUNCES EUROPEAN TOUR, FESTIVAL APPEARANCES Split with Gnaw Their Tongues planned; new album also in the works

The mysterious UK extreme metal act DRAGGED INTO SUNLIGHT have revealed plans to embark on their first-ever headlining tour across Europe. No strangers to this continent, the band have previously accumulated mileage across the lands on tours alongside Weedeater, Saviours and Black Cobra in addition to appearing at several notable festivals (SWR, Incubate, Roadburn). Full dates for the tour, which kicks off in April, can be found listed below or in the tour trailer video.

Since the release of their latest album “Widowmaker” — a viciously haunting voyage into the macabre, and one of the most powerful pieces of music to emerge in recent years from a band who are at the forefront of British extreme metal — DRAGGED INTO SUNLIGHT have been holed up writing material for a brand new album, details of which will be revealed in due course.

Surfacing prior to that will be a split with Gnaw Their Tongues, about which there has already been much speculation. Now that we are getting close, the band have just released the following statement: â€œThe collaboration with Gnaw Their Tongues sees DRAGGED INTO SUNLIGHT adorn yet another new flesh and takes the auditory madness to new levels of suffocating, visceral, aggression.” Details shall be unveiled very soon.

In the meantime, you can watch the following footage from DRAGGED INTO SUNLIGHT appearance at last year’s Maryland Deathfest, which brilliantly captures the intensity and blood-curdling brutality of their live performance: disdeathfest .
