For over a year, National Rock Review has reported on shows, artists, and done everything possible to become your source for music of all genres.

Now, we are happy to announce the next evolution in NRR Media. National Rock Review is proud to present: Michigan Music Showcaseâ„¢. We cordially invite all the hard rockers, music lovers, and supporters of the local scene out to the Token Lounge in Westland, MI on Mar 13, 2015 at 8:00 P.M. The tickets for the inaugural event are $10 at the door. All ages are welcome to this event, as long as those under 18 are with a parent and those 18 or older have proper I.D.

Let us gaze into the eyes of the beasts and find out what the maniacal, deranged metal masters of National Rock Review have in store for you. We are happy, pleased, and honestly somewhat relieved to bring to your attention, with horns in the air, our four bands of the night. Please feel free to look them up on your favorite social media site and show them some love for us. We hope to see you out with the NRR crew and having a time that will leave you warm and fuzzy… and maybe your ears ringing… but hey, it’s for the music.

Reign
Hailing from the suburbs of Detroit, Reign formed in 2009 as a progressive rock band with influences such as Dream Theater, Rush, Queensryche, and Journey. Their music has been described as epic, powerful, and aggressive with layered vocal harmonies. Reign is releasing their second album which is self-titled, Reign, in April of 2015 along with a behind-the-scenes DVD filmed at Metro 37 Recording Studios. Following that, there will be a music video release for their song “Fallen.”

Kung Fu Lovers (KFL)
They call their style Gypsy Rock n’ Roll, and people say they are Americana with a twist. “We make music that’s fun to play and fun to listen to,” according to the band’s bio. It’s obvious The Kung Fu Lovers are having fun onstage, delivering their super high energy and at times hilarious performance. The KFL have been called, “THE LMFAO of rock and roll… and they love it.” There have also been comparisons to a modern B-52’s. They are a spectacle to behold: full karate gear, naked girls, Chinese food, rock n’ roll ninjas delivering a super high energy live show that is sure to leave you breathless and screaming for more!

Sons of Sabotage
Sons of Sabotage started with Chris Mosier and Matt Yoder in early 2013. They recruited Tim Hoeft to play drums. After several months of working together, Anthony tippy joined as the bass player to round out the sound. Throughout the summer of 2013 they continued to write and rehearse together. Sons of Sabotage hove developed their own sound and are now looking to bring their brand of hard rock to the stage.

A.S.S.
Hitting the Detroit area in late 2010, A.S.S. (an acronym for pretty much any set of words you can think of) blends intense, melodic, old and new school metal with poignant, over-the top lyrics. If one look at the name and the logo aren’t an obvious clue, the band never takes itself too seriously. However, all the members are very serious about the music they write and perform.

Stage Schedule:
8:45pm Sons of Sabotage
9:30pm A.S.S.
10:30pm The Kung Fu Lovers
11:30pm Reign

In addition to a night of great music, there will be prize give-aways throughout the night!
