The hard rock band from Pennsylvania has touched down for tour dates in the UK before heading to mainland Europe.
After flight delays and cancellations yesterday, Crobot eventually made it to London late this morning. They will be launching straight into their first headline tour, The United Kingdom Invasive Species Tour, supported by Scorpion Child and Buffalo Summer tomorrow night (November 06) at the Underworld in Camden. After several UK dates, they will embark on the European section of their tour, returning to the UK at the end of the month for their remaining UK Festival dates. This will be a gruelling five-week tour with only four days off.
In their usual good, humorous spirit, even after being pounced on unexpectedly at the arrivals gate, the guys were happy to spend a few minutes to pose for a photo shoot and answer a few questions for us.
Crobot said they really appreciated the warm welcome received in the UK on their last visit, their growing, loyal UK fanbase, and the glowing reviews of their debut album, Something Supernatural. Their appearance at the Download Festival last summer has greatly increased interest in the band. The boys are looking forward to play for wider audiences again and attracting more fans at the forthcoming Hard Rock Hell, Winter Rocks, and Planet Rockstock festivals.
The guys promised that their UK fans will be treated to several new songs at the UK shows, maybe a sneak preview of tracks to be included on their follow-up album which Crobot will commence recording on their return to the US in December.
2015 has, so far, been a fantastic year for this hard-working band; on top of all their tour and album success, they have had a craft beer, SupernaturAle. It delivers a whopping 11% proof (yes, “this one goes to 11â€) created in their honour by an artisanal brewery in the US. In the UK, they have had the honour of being nominated in the Best New Band category for the Classic Rock Roll of Honour with the winners being announced at the Roundhouse, London, on November 11.
Crobot is definitely a band on its way up; there’s no stopping them. You can see Crobot at the following shows:
