The melodic metal outfit, Arch Enemy, just started their tour around North America in Baltimore, Maryland to support their newest release, War Eternal.

In order to commemorate this massive headlining run, Arch Enemy has released a split 7-inch record with Kreator, their direct support for the tour.  Side A features Arch Enemy covering Judas Priest‘s “Breaking the Law” and Side B features Kreator performing “Iron Destiny.”  This record is limited to 1,000 total copies (500 transparent and 500 dark red) and will only be sold at shows during the tour, so make sure to get yours while there’s still a chance!

Guitarist Michael Amott says of the choice to cover Priest: “When we do covers, we have a tendency to pick somewhat obscure songs. However, the iconic ‘Breaking The Law’ anthem by Judas Priest is anything but that of course! This just started with a fun jam in the studio, and during the process, we tried to make it sound as Arch Enemy as possible – it turned out pretty f’n cool, and here it is…Enjoy!”

About The Author

Julie Goldstein is a 25 year old rock fanatic residing in Jacksonville, Florida. The first concert she ever attended was Evanescence back in 2007 where she became mesmerized by Amy Lee's stage presence. While attending college at the University of Florida for a bachelors degree in English, she saw Halestorm live in 2009 where Lzzy Hale awoke something in her that brought on a calling for music journalism. Julie has since gone from that small club show with her little point-and-shoot Sony to sold out, two day rock festivals behind the barricade with her Nikon DSLR and interviewing top acts such as Lacuna Coil, Sick Puppies, and Butcher Babies. She runs her own website at www.backstagevips.com where fans can take a step backstage for artist interviews, cd reviews, and concert photography.
