Normally, a band writes, practices, and then records a new album. But sometimes they have a tough time picking out the first single. Not so with Roses Unread.

Roses Unread is a little different in the way they do albums. “Fallen” the first single off of the upcoming album The Silver Lining, was such a complete song they decided to release it and work on finishing the rest of the tracks. This unsigned Jackson, TN five piece is, Allison Teague Purifoy (Vocals), John Crickle (Guitar), Blake Becton (Guitar), Brant “the Beard” Sollis (Bass), and Grant Brooks (Drums).

The new single comes in just over four minutes long. If it is any indication of the rest of the album to follow, Roses Unread fans should be very excited. The very crisp production seamlessly combines Allison’s singing, John and Blake’s dual guitar duties, Brant’s bass playing, and Grant’s amazing drum barrage. Evanescence meets Five Finger Death Punch mentored by Megadeth is a fair way to describe this single.

When the full album is released, a more robust review will follow as well. Some of the band’s upcoming shows are below. See them if they come to your neck of the woods. Please, if you do, let us know what you thought.
