After performing in the capital city two years prior, Joe Nichols makes a return visit to play to a packed house inside the Tequila Cowboy.

In 2015 as part of the inaugural Taste Of Country Lansing event put on by local radio station 100.7 FM WITL, Joe Nichols performed on stage as a co-headliner. With the overwhelming response and welcome he received on that day, he agreed to return and play to the mid-Michigan area again soon.

Two years later, Joe returned to a max capacity crowd inside the Tequila Cowboy as they held another Whittle Concert Series event to help promote the annual Taste Of Country Lansing event.

Joe performed to the sold out crowd singing songs from his illustrious career that spans back to 1996 with his self-titled debut album. Since then, Joe has released eight more studio albums with 21 singles and five that have traveled up the charts to NO. 1.

As Joe’s setlist allowed, he alternated from gripping his microphone tightly to hang onto those lasting memories and emotions in his slower ballads (“The Impossible” and “I’ll Wait For You”) to donning his guitar and dancing to the up-tempo party like songs that fans has come to enjoy over the years.

Joe also took the time to play some new music from an upcoming album due at a later date that includes the debut single release of the album called “Undone” along with a country remix of the 1992 hit “Baby Got Back (I Like Big Butts)” from rapper Sir Mix-A-Lot.

Joe also added a few of his favorite party covers to the set like Tom Petty’s “Runnin’ Down A Dream” and Hank Jr’s “All My Rowdy Friends.”

Joe finished his set to the crowd’s delight with some of his greatest songs “Brokenheartsville,” “Yeah” and “Gimmie That Girl.”

With the crowd not feeling satisfied yet and Joe not ready to call it a night, he returned to the stage and the chants of “Joe, Joe” to finish off the evening with his biggest hits yet “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off” and “Sunny & 75.”

With the success of Joe’s previous visit to the Lansing area, Joe was not let down as this visit was just as satisfying.

The evening’s local opening act Shiatown entertained the crowd beforehand as the male duo performed songs (“Born To Boogie,” “Papa Loved Mama,” “Drink In My Hand” and others) acoustically.
